Compact 3-liter medical waist pack designed for fast, structured access to first-aid equipment without the bulk of a full medical backpack.
The Zentauron ZFR Medic Waist Pack is a body-worn first-aid platform developed for first responders, medical personnel, military users, security professionals, and other users who need essential medical equipment immediately accessible.
Developed with input from German Bundeswehr medical instructors, the layout follows a simple principle: organize equipment according to access priority, allowing the user to work progressively from the outside of the pouch toward the main compartment.
This helps keep gloves, trauma shears, tourniquets, airway equipment, and other medical supplies organized instead of loose inside a single large compartment.
Made in Germany.
Structured Medical Organization
The front of the ZFR is designed around rapid access to frequently used equipment.
A zippered compartment integrated into the front hook-and-loop flap provides dedicated storage for disposable gloves.
Behind it, an additional organizer section can accommodate equipment such as:
- Trauma shears
- Tourniquets
- Syringes
- Airway equipment
- Small medical tools
- Other similarly sized first-aid supplies
The main compartment provides additional space for dressings, bandages, and other emergency medical equipment.
This layered organization helps reduce unnecessary searching when equipment needs to be accessed quickly.
More Capacity Than a Conventional IFAK
With approximately 3 liters of capacity, the ZFR fills the space between a small IFAK pouch and a full medical backpack.
It is particularly useful when a conventional IFAK does not provide enough room but a larger aid bag would be unnecessary.
Depending on configuration, the pouch can be used as:
- First-responder medical kit
- Expanded IFAK
- Tactical first-aid waist pack
- Compact emergency medical bag
- Supplemental medical kit
Waist-Mounted Carry System
The ZFR uses an integrated waist belt to keep the medical kit close to the body and immediately accessible.
This allows the wearer to access medical supplies without removing a backpack or opening a larger load-bearing system.
A robust quick-release buckle provides secure attachment while allowing the pack to be put on or removed quickly.
MOLLE / PALS Expansion
MOLLE/PALS loops on both sides of the waist belt provide additional attachment space.
Compatible accessories can include:
- Tourniquet holders
- Glove pouches
- Small medical pouches
- Radio pouches
- Utility pouches
- Other compact MOLLE/PALS equipment
This allows the medical setup to be expanded according to the role and mission requirements.
IRR / NIR-Oriented Construction
The ZFR Medic Waist Pack uses materials and components designed to reduce infrared reflectance compared with conventional civilian equipment.
This makes it particularly relevant for military, law-enforcement, and other professional tactical users.

Mission Frontline Take
The ZFR makes sense for anyone who needs more medical capability than a standard IFAK but does not want to carry a full medic backpack.
Its biggest advantage is the organization. Instead of throwing all medical supplies into one compartment, the pouch separates frequently needed items and lets the user work through the kit in a logical order.
We also like the waist-mounted format because it keeps the medical kit accessible even when wearing a backpack, plate carrier, or other load-bearing equipment.
For first responders, military users, security personnel, or anyone building a compact but capable medical setup, the ZFR is a very practical middle ground between an IFAK and a full aid bag.
