Vulcan Minimal Plate Carrier

Low-profile German-made plate carrier designed for concealed or overt use.

The Zentauron Vulcan Minimal is a stripped-down plate carrier designed to keep bulk to an absolute minimum.

Its flat construction makes it suitable for concealed wear under jackets as well as conventional overt use over clothing. Depending on the armor configuration, the carrier can accommodate compatible hard or soft ballistic inserts for protection of the chest and back.

In its basic configuration, the Vulcan Minimal is a carrier platform only and can be expanded with armor, magazine pouches, front flaps, padding, and additional protective components.

Its compact shape makes it particularly useful for vehicle-based operations, low-profile setups, training, and users who want a cleaner alternative to a full-size plate carrier.

Low-Profile Design

The Vulcan Minimal is significantly more compact than the larger carriers in the Vulcan series.

Its reduced profile allows the carrier to sit close to the body and makes it suitable for:

• Concealed wear under outer clothing
• Overt low-profile setups
• Vehicle-based use
• Training environments
• Minimalist equipment configurations

Large hook-and-loop areas on the front and rear allow identification patches and compatible accessories to be attached without adding unnecessary bulk.

Cummerbund

The elastic cummerbund is made from approximately 4 in / 10 cm wide elastic material and attaches to the front and rear plate bags using hook-and-loop.

This allows the carrier to be continuously adjusted to the user's torso while maintaining a very flat and close-fitting profile.

Depending on the version, the cummerbund includes either three or four integrated equipment pockets.

The integrated compartments can accommodate items such as:

• M4-style magazines

• Similar-sized equipment

Optional retention kits can be used to further secure stored equipment.

Plate Bag & Armor Compatibility

The Vulcan Minimal is available with Medium and Large plate bags based on SAPI-style dimensions.

Medium

• Approx. 9.8 × 11.8 in / 25 × 30 cm
• Accepts compatible hard armor up to approximately 0.8 in / 2 cm thickness
• Can also accommodate compatible soft armor

Large

• Approx. 10.6 × 13.0 in / 27 × 33 cm
• Designed for compatible hard armor plus soft armor combinations
• Can also accommodate compatible standalone plates

Armor inserts slide into the plate bags and are secured using hook-and-loop closures.

Armor and ballistic inserts are not included unless specifically stated.

MOLLE & Hook-and-Loop Expansion

The front plate bag includes:

• Two vertical MOLLE loops
• One horizontal MOLLE loop
• Large hook-and-loop mounting areas

These attachment points allow compatible adapters, magazine panels, front flaps, and other modular equipment to be added when the carrier is used as an overt system.

Important Armor Notice

The Vulcan Minimal is an armor carrier only and does not provide ballistic or stab protection by itself.

Protective performance depends entirely on the armor inserts installed in the carrier.

Always verify the dimensions, compatibility, certification, and protection rating of any hard or soft armor used with the system.

The Vulcan Minimal is the carrier we would look at when low profile matters more than maximum MOLLE space.

Its biggest advantage is how close it sits to the body. That makes it much more suitable for concealed wear, vehicle use, or streamlined setups than a heavily built-out conventional plate carrier.

We also like the integrated cummerbund pockets. Radios or magazines can be carried directly in the elastic cummerbund without immediately adding external pouches and bulk.

At the same time, the front mounting areas mean the carrier can still be expanded when a more conventional overt setup is required.

For users who want a German-made carrier that can move between concealed and overt configurations, the Vulcan Minimal fills a very specific and useful role.
