Modular plate carrier front flap with an integrated kangaroo compartment for configurable rifle, SMG, and pistol magazine inserts.

The Zentauron Vulcan II Kangaroo Flap is designed to expand the Vulcan II Plate Carrier into a more complete infantry-oriented load-bearing system.

At the center of the design is an integrated kangaroo compartment that accepts compatible hook-and-loop magazine inserts. This allows the front panel to be configured around different weapon platforms without permanently sewing a specific magazine pouch layout into the carrier.

The exterior remains fully modular with a 3-row × 6-column MOLLE/PALS field for additional equipment.

Integrated Kangaroo Compartment

The rear portion of the flap forms an internal kangaroo-style compartment.

Compatible magazine inserts can be installed inside using hook-and-loop attachment.

Depending on the selected insert configuration, the compartment can be set up for:

• M4 / AR-15-style magazines
• G36 magazines
• SMG magazines
• Pistol magazines
• Other compatible magazine formats

This provides much more flexibility than a permanently fixed magazine panel.

Up to Three Rifle Magazine Positions

The Kangaroo Flap can accommodate up to three compatible rifle-magazine inserts, depending on the specific insert and magazine geometry.

Secure Vulcan II Attachment

Four webbing straps with hook-and-loop surfaces secure the flap to the Zentauron Vulcan II Plate Carrier.

The attachment system keeps the panel integrated with the carrier while allowing it to remain a removable modular component.

Low-Profile Magazine Integration

Because the primary magazine inserts sit inside the kangaroo compartment rather than on top of an additional MOLLE pouch, the system can maintain a relatively clean front profile.

This can reduce unnecessary layering compared with mounting individual rifle-magazine pouches externally.

The Kangaroo Flap is a modular carrier for magazine inserts rather than a fixed magazine pouch.

Magazine capacity therefore depends on the specific insert used, magazine dimensions, and selected configuration.

It should not be assumed that three M4 magazines and three G36 magazines can be carried simultaneously.

The advantage of the Kangaroo Flap is that it keeps the magazine interface modular.

A permanently sewn triple-magazine panel is simple and works very well when the weapon platform never changes. The Kangaroo Flap makes more sense when you want the option to switch between M4, G36, SMG, or pistol-magazine layouts without replacing the entire front panel.

It also keeps the 3×6 front MOLLE field available, so additional equipment can still be stacked onto the carrier.

For Vulcan II users who want a clean infantry-style front setup but do not want to commit permanently to one magazine format, the Kangaroo Flap is the more flexible solution.
