Modular armor carrier combining extended ballistic coverage, mobility, and full MOLLE/PALS integration.

The Zentauron Thor is a modular protective vest carrier based around the ballistic insert geometry used in modern German Bundeswehr systems including MOBAST and Gladius IdZ-ES.

Designed to accommodate both compatible soft-armor and hard-armor components, the Thor combines the mobility of a plate carrier with the expanded coverage and modularity of a full protective vest system.

The carrier can be further expanded with compatible ballistic neck, upper-arm, and groin protection, allowing the setup to be adapted to different operational requirements.

Integrated shoulder padding improves comfort under heavier loads, while extensive MOLLE/PALS webbing across the front, rear, and cummerbund provides ample space for magazines, medical equipment, communications gear, utility pouches, and other mission-specific equipment.

Made in Germany.

Modular Front Setup

The optional Snap Flap can be used to secure the cummerbund and create a clean front configuration.

For users requiring additional pouch capacity, the optional Snap Rig provides the same closure function while adding more modular attachment space.

The snap-based system also allows the front equipment configuration to be changed quickly when transitioning between different setups.

Materials & Construction

The Thor is manufactured from durable Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 and Polyamide 6.6 webbing.

Its materials, construction, camouflage-related properties, and manufacturing approach are designed around requirements used for German Bundeswehr-oriented military equipment.

Important Armor Notice

Ballistic protection depends entirely on the armor inserts and protective components installed in the carrier.

The Thor itself is an armor carrier and load-bearing platform. Ballistic inserts, plates, and additional protective components are not included unless specifically stated in the product configuration.

Always verify compatibility and the protection rating of the armor components used with the carrier.

Mission Frontline Take

The Thor sits between a conventional plate carrier and a traditional full-coverage protective vest.

Its biggest advantage is modularity. You can keep the setup relatively streamlined when mobility is the priority or expand coverage with additional protective components when the situation requires it.

We also like the extensive MOLLE layout. Front, rear, and cummerbund attachment space gives the user considerably more freedom to build the carrier around communications, medical, ammunition, or other equipment.

For users looking for a German-made modular armor platform with strong Bundeswehr system compatibility, the Thor is one of the most capable options in the Zentauron lineup.
