Long, narrow 17-liter sling pack designed to move rescue gear, tools, and mission equipment through confined spaces where conventional backpacks become difficult to manage.
The Zentauron ResQtube MOLLE Sling Pack is a specialized equipment carrier originally developed for rescue applications where gear has to move through extremely restricted spaces.
Its elongated tube-style profile makes it particularly suitable for cave rescue, technical rescue, confined spaces, tunnels, shafts, trenches, and other environments where a conventional backpack can become too wide or cumbersome.
Multiple carry handles, an ambidextrous padded sling strap, a fully loop-lined interior, and extensive MOLLE/PALS attachment options allow the ResQtube to be adapted to very different equipment requirements.
Made in Germany.
Built for Confined Spaces
The defining feature of the ResQtube is its unusually long and narrow construction.
At approximately:
5.9 × 5.9 × 29.5 in / 15 × 15 × 75 cm
the pack is designed to carry a useful amount of equipment while maintaining a very narrow cross-section.
This makes it particularly suitable for environments such as:
- Cave rescue
- Technical rescue
- Shafts and access tunnels
- Confined-space operations
- Trenches and fighting positions
- Narrow passages
- Utility tunnels
- Crawl spaces
- Other restricted environments
17-Liter Equipment Capacity
Despite its narrow profile, the ResQtube provides approximately:
17 L / 1,037 cu in
of internal capacity.
Depending on the mission, it can carry:
- Rescue equipment
- Rope-access accessories
- Medical supplies
- Tools
- Technical equipment
- Personal protective equipment
- Communications accessories
- Mission-specific gear
- Other elongated or compact equipment
Ambidextrous Padded Sling Strap
A permanently attached, adjustable padded sling strap allows the pack to be carried over either shoulder.
The strap can be configured for right- or left-side carry, allowing the pack to be adapted to the user and environment.
The sling configuration also makes it easier to reposition the pack around the body in confined areas compared with a conventional fixed two-strap backpack.
Four-Sided Carry Handles
Carry handles are positioned on all four sides of the pack.
This allows the ResQtube to be:
- Carried by hand
- Dragged or repositioned over short distances
- Passed between team members
- Controlled from different orientations
- Maneuvered through narrow openings
Multiple handles are particularly useful when the pack cannot remain in a conventional upright orientation.
Fully Loop-Lined Interior
The main interior is lined with loop fabric for modular organization.
Compatible hook-backed accessories can be positioned according to the intended role, including:
- Internal utility pouches
- Mesh organizer pouches
- Equipment holders
- Divider modules
- Other hook-backed organizational accessories
This allows the ResQtube to be configured for rescue, medical, technical, or general equipment transport rather than forcing a single internal layout.
Dual Internal Zipper Compartments
Two large independent zippered compartments are integrated into the inside of the lid.
These provide separate storage for smaller accessories that should remain organized and accessible.
They are useful for items such as:
- Small tools
- Cables
- Batteries
- Documentation
- Medical accessories
- Personal equipment
External MOLLE / PALS Expansion
Additional modular attachment loops are positioned on the sides of the pack above and below the carry handles.
The front surface also provides MOLLE/PALS attachment points for compatible accessories.
This allows additional equipment to be mounted externally when the internal 17-liter capacity is not enough or when specific gear needs to remain immediately accessible.
Front Identification Panel
A hook-and-loop ID area on the front allows the pack to be marked according to its role or contents.
Possible uses include:
- RESCUE identification
- MEDICAL identification
- Team or unit markings
- Equipment-category labels
- Name / ID patches
This is particularly useful when multiple ResQtube packs are configured for different tasks.
Load-Control Straps
Two external load-control straps secure the lid and help reduce stress on the main zipper.
These straps can also help stabilize the contents when the pack is heavily loaded.
Reducing direct load on the zipper is especially useful when the ResQtube is dragged, carried horizontally, or moved repeatedly through confined environments.
Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 Construction
The ResQtube is manufactured from rugged Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 with Polyamide 6.6 webbing.
The materials are selected for repeated field use where abrasion and contact with rough surfaces can be expected.

Mission Frontline Take
The ResQtube is one of the more specialized packs in the Zentauron lineup, and its shape immediately explains why.
A normal 20- or 30-liter backpack works well until you have to crawl through a shaft, narrow tunnel, cave passage, or confined technical environment. At that point, width and protruding equipment become a much bigger problem than raw carrying capacity.
The ResQtube solves that by spreading its 17 liters across a long, narrow body.
The four carry handles are also more important than they may initially appear. In rescue or confined-space environments, the pack may be pushed, pulled, passed between personnel, or carried horizontally rather than worn conventionally.
Combined with the loop-lined interior and external MOLLE, this makes the ResQtube a highly adaptable carrier for rescue teams, technical personnel, and users working in spaces where a conventional backpack simply does not fit well.
