Current-generation German military combat clothing built for demanding field use.

This original German Bundeswehr combat jacket is part of the modern KBS SK (Combat Clothing System, Armed Forces) and is also used within the IdZ-ES – Infantryman of the Future Enhanced System.

Manufactured in Germany between 2023 and 2025 according to Bundeswehr technical specifications, the jacket combines a highly functional combat cut with flame-resistant materials, extensive ventilation, equipment-compatible pocket placement, and integrated permethrin vector protection.

The fabric blend of aramid, FR viscose, polyamide, and antistatic fibers is designed for professional military use where durability, flame resistance, and comfort under equipment are critical.

The short, unlined construction and extensive underarm ventilation make the jacket suitable for active field use, while multiple adjustment points allow it to integrate with wet-weather and cold-weather layers.

Mission Frontline Take

This is one of the more interesting pieces of modern Bundeswehr clothing we carry because it is not a commercial Flecktarn reproduction.

It comes from recent German military production and belongs to the current-generation KBS SK clothing concept, with features designed around actual field use: flame-resistant materials, extensive ventilation, elbow-pad compatibility, equipment-oriented pocket placement, and integrated vector protection.

The fabric composition also immediately separates it from conventional cotton/polyester field jackets. Aramid and FR viscose make this a much more specialized garment intended for professional use around demanding operational environments.

We especially like the ventilation layout. Combat clothing has to work underneath equipment and during high activity levels, and the underarm/forearm ventilation gives the wearer considerably more control over heat buildup than a traditional field jacket.

The obvious tradeoff is the factory-second classification. These jackets may show visible production imperfections, including small holes or weaving defects. If cosmetic perfection is important, this isn't the right item. If you want a piece of recent German Bundeswehr combat clothing at a more accessible price, the value is much more compelling.
