Quick-change MOLLE front or rear panel for compatible plate carriers, allowing complete equipment setups to be swapped without rebuilding the carrier pouch by pouch.

The Zentauron Modular Flap is a detachable MOLLE/PALS expansion panel designed for compatible plate carriers.

Instead of mounting every pouch directly to the carrier, magazine pouches, medical gear, tools, and other accessories can be configured on the Modular Flap in advance. The complete panel can then be installed or exchanged when the required equipment setup changes.

The flap can be mounted on the front or rear of compatible carriers and provides a substantial MOLLE/PALS surface while adding very little thickness.

Made in Germany.

Quick-Change Loadout Platform

The Modular Flap is designed around rapid equipment reconfiguration.

Multiple panels can be prepared for different roles, for example:

  • Rifle magazine setup
  • DMR loadout
  • Medical configuration
  • Communications setup
  • General-purpose mission equipment
  • Training configuration

Instead of removing and re-weaving individual MOLLE pouches, the complete configured flap can be exchanged.

This can significantly simplify transitions between different equipment requirements.

6-Column MOLLE / PALS Field

The main panel provides:

4 rows × 6 columns of MOLLE/PALS

This gives enough space for a wide range of modular equipment, including:

  • Rifle magazine pouches
  • Pistol magazine pouches
  • Medical pouches
  • Utility pouches
  • Radio accessories
  • Other MOLLE/PALS equipment

Additional Lower MOLLE Row

A separate horizontal attachment area is positioned along the lower edge.

It provides:

1 additional row with 4 MOLLE attachment points

This area is particularly useful for compact equipment such as:

  • Tourniquet holders
  • Pistol magazine pouches
  • Small tools
  • Compact utility accessories
  • Other narrow MOLLE-mounted equipment

Front or Rear Carrier Mounting

The Modular Flap can be positioned on either the front or rear of a compatible plate carrier.

This allows it to function as:

  • Front equipment panel
  • Rear accessory platform
  • Mission-specific modular panel

Secure Four-Strap Attachment

Four webbing straps are positioned along the upper rear section of the flap.

The straps are routed through the carrier's MOLLE/PALS loops and back through the corresponding webbing on the flap.

They are then secured against the rear loop surface.

The lower section uses an additional hook-and-loop interface that attaches inside the compatible plate bag.

Together, these attachment points help stabilize the flap against the carrier.

Additional Flat Storage Space

The space between the plate carrier and Modular Flap can also be used for suitable flat equipment.

Depending on the setup, this can include items such as:

  • Flat IFAK
  • Maps
  • Documents
  • Other thin equipment

This provides additional storage without requiring another external pouch.

Compatible Plate Carriers

According to Zentauron, the Modular Flap is compatible with:

  • Zentauron Vulcan Minimal Plate Carrier
  • Zentauron Vulcan III Plate Carrier
  • Zentauron Vulcan II Plate Carrier
  • Compatible LHT-issued plate carrier systems

Compatibility with other carriers depends on MOLLE/PALS geometry and the required hook-and-loop interface.

Military-Grade Material Construction

The Modular Flap is manufactured from Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 with Polyamide 6.6 webbing.

According to Zentauron, the materials are selected in accordance with German Bundeswehr technical requirements or comparable military specifications depending on the component.

The construction is also designed with military infrared-signature requirements in mind.

Mission Frontline Take

The advantage here is not extra storage — it is faster configuration changes.

If every pouch is woven directly onto a plate carrier, switching from one equipment setup to another can take a considerable amount of time. With several preconfigured Modular Flaps, the user can keep complete layouts ready and change the panel instead of rebuilding the carrier.

The extra lower MOLLE row is also useful because it creates a dedicated position for smaller items without using space intended for the primary magazine or utility setup.

And because the panel adds only around 0.2 in / 5 mm of depth, it does not turn the carrier into an unnecessarily bulky system.

For users running compatible Vulcan carriers and wanting to maintain multiple ready-to-go equipment configurations, the Modular Flap is a simple but very effective German-made upgrade.
