Heavy-load military pack with 110 liters of modular capacity and Berghaus' proven MMPS system.
The Berghaus MMPS Crusader 90+20 is a large-capacity military rucksack designed for extended field use, multi-day trekking, expedition travel, bushcraft, and other situations where substantial amounts of equipment need to be carried.
Built from rugged Ardura 1000D nylon, the Crusader combines a 90-liter main pack with two removable 10-liter side pouches for approximately 110 liters of total capacity.
At the heart of the system is Berghaus' MMPS – Multi Mission Pack System. Both side pouches can be removed from the main pack and zipped together to create a separate 20-liter daypack, allowing the user to switch from a large expedition load to a lightweight patrol or day setup without carrying a second backpack.
The integrated Cyclops II suspension system uses an internal aluminum frame to stabilize heavier loads and transfer weight efficiently to the hip belt.

Mission Frontline Take
The Crusader 90+20 is built around a very different philosophy from a lightweight hiking pack.
This is a heavy-load military rucksack designed to carry large amounts of equipment while keeping the load structured and close to the body.
The MMPS side-pouch system is probably its strongest feature. With everything attached, you have a full 110-liter setup for extended trips, cold-weather gear, shelter systems, food, or other bulky equipment. Once the main pack stays at camp or a vehicle, the side pouches can become a separate 20-liter daypack.
The Cyclops II frame and suspension system also start making much more sense once loads become genuinely heavy.
Compared with the Cyclops II Atlas, the Crusader feels like the more modular and mission-configurable system, especially because of the MMPS ecosystem.
The tradeoff is weight. At approximately 7.7 lb empty, this is not an ultralight backpack and shouldn't be judged as one. If your priority is minimum base weight, there are much lighter options. If you need capacity, load support, modularity, and a proven Berghaus military-pack design, the Crusader is in a different category.
One thing to be aware of: some units may have damaged plastic reinforcement panels in the side pouches. If cosmetic and component condition is important to you, please factor this into your purchase decision.
