Ballistic Neck Protection Cover

Modular two-piece neck armor carrier designed for compatible Zentauron plate carriers and protective vests, with provision for separately available VPAM 3-certified soft ballistic inserts.

The Zentauron Ballistic Neck Protection Cover adds an optional neck-protection component to selected Zentauron armor systems.

The system consists of two identical textile sections that mount to the carrier using hook-and-loop attachment. Each section is designed to accept the appropriate soft ballistic insert, allowing protective coverage to be extended into the otherwise exposed neck area.

The textile cover itself contains no ballistic protection. Compatible certified soft armor must be installed separately.

Modular Neck Protection System

The neck assembly is designed to extend the coverage of compatible plate carriers and protective vests around the neck area.

When equipped with the appropriate ballistic inserts, the system is intended to provide additional protection against threats covered by the certification of those inserts.

The neck is a particularly exposed area where major blood vessels, the airway, esophagus, and cervical spine are located in close proximity.

Two Identical Sections

The system consists of two identical components.

Using the same construction for the front and rear sections simplifies:

• Installation
• Replacement
• Handling
• Equipment management

Both sections attach to the compatible carrier system using hook-and-loop interfaces.

VPAM 3 Soft Armor Compatible

Zentauron offers compatible VPAM 3-certified soft ballistic inserts for this neck protection system.

The ballistic performance is determined by the actual insert installed—not by the Cordura® cover.

VPAM protection classes are European ballistic standards and should not be treated as direct equivalents to U.S. NIJ armor levels without specific test documentation.

Designed to Maintain Mobility

According to Zentauron, the shape is designed to provide additional neck coverage while retaining sufficient freedom of movement when worn with equipment such as:

• Combat helmets
• Ballistic helmets
• Compatible ballistic visors

Actual mobility depends on helmet geometry, visor configuration, carrier fit, body dimensions, and the installed ballistic inserts.

Front & Rear Identification Areas

Hook-and-loop surfaces are sewn onto both sections.

These can be used for compatible:

• ID patches
• Unit markings
• Identification tabs
• Other hook-backed patches

Hook-and-Loop Attachment

The neck-protection components mount to compatible Zentauron armor systems using hook-and-loop interfaces.

This allows the protection to be added when required and removed when a lighter configuration is preferred.

Do not describe the cover itself as VPAM 3-rated unless the certified ballistic inserts are included as part of the exact product being sold.
