ARES Plate Carrier

A hybrid armor carrier combining the mobility of a plate carrier with the coverage of a protective vest.

The Zentauron ARES is a compact armor carrier designed to bridge the gap between a conventional plate carrier and a full protective vest.

Its streamlined construction provides a high degree of mobility while still allowing the integration of compatible soft armor, hard armor, and side soft-armor inserts.

Compared with traditional Bundeswehr protective vests, the ARES is significantly slimmer and therefore particularly well suited for vehicle crews, mobile users, and setups where reduced bulk matters.

Side hook-and-loop adjustment and an elastic cummerbund allow the carrier to sit securely against the body while maintaining freedom of movement during dynamic activity.

Armor Compatibility

The ARES is designed to accommodate:

Separate compartments are provided for hard-armor plates.

The carrier is compatible with many legacy Bundeswehr soft-armor inserts and with Bundeswehr-style ceramic plates, as well as many other plates measuring approximately:

Armor inserts and plates are not included unless specifically stated.

Comfort & Fit

The inside of the carrier is lined with 3D spacer mesh, helping improve airflow and comfort during extended wear.

The combination of side hook-and-loop adjustment and an elastic cummerbund allows the ARES to adapt closely to the wearer while maintaining a secure fit during movement.

Extensive MOLLE/PALS webbing allows the carrier to be configured with:

The ARES is an armor carrier and load-bearing platform.

It does not provide ballistic protection by itself. Protective performance depends entirely on the specific soft-armor and hard-armor components installed in the carrier.

Always verify the dimensions, compatibility, certification, and protection rating of any armor components used.
