Heavy-duty 8.5-liter MOLLE expansion pouch for tactical backpacks, plate carriers, protective vests, and modular load-bearing systems.

The Zentauron Combat Pouch is a large modular equipment pouch originally developed as an expansion for the M.A.R.S. Combat Backpack, but its MOLLE/Faststick interface makes it useful across a much wider range of tactical equipment.

With approximately 8.5 liters / 519 cu in of capacity, the pouch provides significantly more storage than a conventional utility pouch and is well suited for clothing layers, field equipment, supplies, tools, food, and other mission gear.

It can also be used as a side pouch on the Zentauron Sentinel 55+10L External Frame Rucksack.

Developed for the M.A.R.S. Combat Backpack

The Combat Pouch was originally designed to expand the Zentauron M.A.R.S. 30L Combat Backpack.

According to Zentauron, up to three Combat Pouches can be incorporated into a M.A.R.S. setup, expanding the overall carrying system to approximately 54 liters, depending on configuration.

This allows the compact 30-liter assault pack to be scaled into a significantly larger load carriage system when additional equipment is required.

Sentinel Side Pouch Compatibility

The Combat Pouch can also be mounted as an external side pouch on the:

Zentauron Sentinel 55+10L External Frame Rucksack

This provides another modular expansion option for users who need structured side storage rather than the lightweight, compression-strap-mounted Batwing Pouches.

Internal Organization

Two internal slip pockets provide separate storage for smaller equipment.

They can help organize items such as:

This prevents smaller equipment from getting lost inside the larger 8.5-liter main compartment.

Front & Side MOLLE / PALS Expansion

MOLLE/PALS attachment loops are positioned on both the front and sides of the pouch.

This allows additional compatible equipment to be mounted directly onto the Combat Pouch.

Possible additions include:

• Medical pouches
• Tool holders
• Other MOLLE/PALS accessories

The pouch therefore adds both storage volume and additional modular attachment space.

Front Identification Panel

A hook-and-loop field provides space for compatible:

• ID patches

• Equipment labels
• Other identification

This is especially useful when several Combat Pouches are configured for different contents.

MOLLE / Faststick Mounting

Four integrated Faststick straps provide secure attachment to compatible MOLLE/PALS surfaces.

Suitable platforms include:

• Tactical backpacks
• M.A.R.S. Combat Backpack
• Sentinel Rucksack
• Plate carriers
• Protective vests
• Other sufficiently large MOLLE/PALS systems

Because of the pouch's size, a stable and sufficiently large mounting area is recommended.

Drainage Eyelet

A drainage eyelet in the bottom allows accumulated water and moisture to escape after rain, wet-weather use, or cleaning.

Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 Construction

The Combat Pouch is manufactured from rugged Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 with Polyamide 6.6 webbing.

The material provides a strong balance of abrasion resistance, durability, and flexibility for demanding field use.

IRR / NIR-Oriented Materials

The pouch uses IRR/NIR-oriented materials designed to reduce infrared reflectance compared with conventional civilian equipment.

This is particularly relevant for military and professional tactical applications where near-infrared equipment signature is a consideration.

Actual IR/NIR performance depends on color, camouflage pattern, environmental conditions, and observation equipment.

Mission Frontline Take

This pouch is much closer to a modular backpack compartment than a conventional utility pouch.

At 8.5 liters, one Combat Pouch already adds meaningful capacity. Add multiple pouches to the M.A.R.S., and a compact 30-liter combat pack can be turned into a much larger load carriage system without replacing the base backpack.

Compared with the Batwing Pouches, the concept is also different. Batwings make particular sense for lightweight, bulky gear, while the Combat Pouch uses a proper four-point MOLLE/Faststick attachment and is better suited when you want a more structured modular side pouch.

The front and side MOLLE is another advantage because the pouch does not just consume attachment space — it creates additional modular real estate of its own.

For M.A.R.S., Sentinel, or other sufficiently large MOLLE-equipped systems, this is a very capable German-made 8.5-liter backpack expansion pouch.
