Technical grid fleece insulation with an integrated low-profile hood.
The AB Delta Grid Fleece Hoodie is a versatile technical fleece designed for use as an insulating midlayer in cold conditions or as a comfortable standalone jacket during spring and fall.
Its distinctive grid fleece construction combines effective insulation with low bulk and improved airflow. The structured fabric traps warm air close to the body while allowing excess heat and moisture to escape during movement, making the Delta especially useful during changing activity levels.
A smooth internal mesh lining improves comfort and makes layering over base layers easier, while reinforced shoulder and elbow areas provide additional durability in high-wear zones.
The close-fitting hood adds extra protection without the bulk of a traditional oversized hood, making the Delta suitable for use underneath outer shells, insulated jackets, and other cold-weather layers.

Mission Frontline Take
The Delta is the more weather-protective and versatile counterpart to the hoodless Operator Grid Fleece.
Its main strength is the same grid fleece construction: enough insulation to make a real difference in cool and cold conditions, while remaining considerably more breathable than a dense traditional fleece.
The close-fitting hood is what changes the character of the jacket. It adds useful warmth around the head and neck without creating excessive bulk, which makes the Delta particularly practical during field use, hiking, training, range days, travel, and cold-weather layering.
We especially like it for situations where you're moving between active and static phases. It provides immediate warmth when you slow down, but still vents reasonably well once you start moving again.
Choose the Delta Hoodie if you want the added protection of an integrated hood. Choose the Operator Grid Fleece if you prefer a cleaner hoodless setup under helmets, shells, or other outer layers.
For maximum warmth in static or extreme cold conditions, we would still move up to a dedicated insulated layer such as the AB Level 4 or Level 7.
