Leo Köhler is a long-established German clothing manufacturer with roots in professional, service and military garments. Today the range includes field trousers, combat clothing, jackets, shirts, base layers and specialized Bundeswehr-oriented clothing systems.
NEARLY A CENTURY OF FUNCTIONAL CLOTHING.
Leo Köhler was founded in Poppenhausen, Germany, in 1927. Its early focus was professional and service clothing, including workwear, protective garments and uniforms.
Field clothing for Bundeswehr soldiers was added toward the end of the 1950s, beginning a long connection between the company and German military clothing.
That background still defines much of what makes Leo Köhler relevant today: functional cuts, practical pocket layouts, field-oriented materials and clothing designed around use rather than fashion alone.

Leo Köhler was founded in Poppenhausen, Germany, where the company remains based.
Production originally took place in Germany. After opening a facility in Malta in 1978, the company moved production to its own facility in Tunisia in 1988.
This distinction matters: Leo Köhler is a German manufacturer and brand, while current production is not automatically the same thing as “Made in Germany.”
